Ultra-precision tool spindle with collet chuck: ASD-CLT
Our ASD-CLT has been specially developed for the processing and turning of contact lenses and is available with an automatic collet system. The newly developed tool spindle is a model of our previous spindle series ASD-Cx (x= tool shank diameter). As standard, our ASD-Cx is adapted and optimized for a collet chuck.
Some important requirements such as the turning of contact lenses require the clamping of shanks of 1/2" (12.7 mm). For this reason, we developed our "ASD-CLT", which is based on a proven design. It can be used to hold blocks that are required for the machining of precisely such contact lenses, for example.
The three most important key facts:
- Contact lens processing with less than 2 nm Ra
- Spindle error (error motion) of less than 20 nm
- Automatic workpiece change
The most important data at a glance:
- Available speed: 0 - 25,000 rpm
- Tool interface: Precision collet chuck, pneumatically actuated
- Housing diameter: Ø 100 mm
- Length and weight: 395/ 415 mm and 16 kg
- Rotational accuracy (error motion): < 20 nm
